Top 6 Late Night (Drunchies) Spots In Florence
Whether you’re out late clubbing, and get a sudden case of the “drunchies” or simply get really hungry around 2AM for no reason like me, Florence is the right city to satisfy all of your late-night cravings. Here is my list of the 6 best late night eats in Florence!
1. The Secret Bakery
There are not many greater joys I have experienced in life than eating a hot Nutella croissant, fresh out the oven, at 3AM. These “secret bakeries” are tucked away in various alleyways and side streets around Florence, and are responsible for baking the pastries that are served in various cafes later that morning. The bakers conveniently start work when you’re on your way home from the bars, so with a simple knock on the backdoor, they are usually willing to sell you a freshly-baked pastry. I won’t tell you where these bakeries are located, as it is a secret (and also not the most legal means of purchasing a croissant), but I will tell you to simply follow your nose.
2. El Chico
Dubbed the “Chipotle of Florence” by the young American population in the city (who else?), El Chico is my usual go-to after a night out. People typically go for their burritos, however they also sell an assortment of other delicious foods including tacos, chicken wings, enchiladas, and burgers. There aren’t many better ways to end your night than with an El Chico burrito in-hand, but be prepared to encounter that rowdy crowd you (hoped you) left at the bar.

3. Fo’caccia La Notte (Pizza Window)
Better known as “Pizza Window”, this place has delicious, greasy pizza ready to go for your drunk-eating pleasure. A big slice of whichever pizza you want for €3! Also conveniently located near many bars and clubs, it’s the perfect place to grab a bite on your walk home. Pro Tip: Ask them to add pesto to your pizza.

4. Kebab Spots

I’m pretty sure the EU made kebab places officially responsible for feeding the entire continent’s drunk population, because they are EVERYWHERE. Club-goers and Sober Sally’s alike, no Eurotrip is complete without consuming a kebab. If you haven’t had one, kebabs are slices of meat cooked on a spit and put in a wrap or sandwich with various toppings and sauces. Here are some of my favorite kebab spots in Florence:
Istanbul Doner Kebab – Via Dei Benci 18R
Mesopatamia Kebab – Via Dell’Oriuolo 15R
Star Kebab – Via Faenza 22
5. Eby’s Bar
Eby, the owner is known as the “Einstein of Shots” because a) he has turned his bartending abilities into a real science with some truly creative concoctions b) he looks identical to Albert Einstein. Eby’s is a bar that everyone should go to at least once, but they also have great burritos. I like to think of El Chico’s burritos as more traditional Mexican and Eby’s burritos as the Italian version of a burrito. Whether you go for one of his shots or his burritos you have to check out Eby’s.

6. Mister Pizza
With two locations in Florence, Mr. Pizza is another great place to get some late night pizza. Open from 10:30AM – 4:30AM, this place almost never closes, and the best part: they deliver! Yes, its just like Domino’s, except the real thing. So even if you’re up late at home “studying”, Mister Pizza is a great option.
